Home Heating Grant Application
The Grant is made available to households that are in need of assistance with heating costs. You may meet the eligibility criteria related to Option C but don’t actually require assistance.
The SCBF is obligated to ensure that community funds are properly dispensed with and meet the targeted audience related to this grant. The SCBF reserve the right to carry out due diligence if required.
A Home Heating Grant of £550 to assist with fuel costs is available to permanent residents in the Strathnairn Community Council area who are:
- in receipt of Pension Credit; OR
- in receipt of Universal Credit; OR
- spending over 10% of their Net Household Income (based on Scottish Government definitions) on fuel costs.
Only one application per household, per calendar year, is permitted.
The grant is only available to existing properties, used as a primary residence, within the Strathnairn Community Council area. The grant is not available for second homes, rental properties, holiday lets or new extensions to existing properties.
Verification of the annual fuel cost may be required.
The maximum Net Household Income (c), in the past 12 months, for claiming this grant is:
Couple with two children £28,435
Single of working age person, no children £12,894
Couple of working age, no children £22,257
Single pensioner £13,233
Couple pensioner £19,409
The above maximum Net Household Income is defined by the Scottish Government.
Your application is strictly confidential. Your details will only be available to the fund secretary and two Directors needed to authorise payment.
